What should I expect when I visit?

At Bayshore, you can come in as you are, wherever you are in your spiritual journey and find a place to encounter God and connect with others who are on this amazing journey called life.

Bayshore welcomes you with open arms and hearts. At Bayshore, you will experience passionate worship, powerful praise, relevant life changing teaching and friendly people in an enjoyable atmosphere. We want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God gives us. Bayshore is a church where you can find a place to serve God and others in a personal ministry.  Join us this Sunday for worship, and experience "Loving God, Serving Others For Jesus" in action.

Here at Bayshore,  the first face you see when you approach the church will have  a smile on it. Whether you need childcare or are looking for a place for your teens, a greeter will be nearby to help you get where you need to go.

Welcome Center - Between 10:00 am and 10:50 am and after the 11:00 am worship service, we invite you to join us for coffee and donuts in the lobby of The Sanctuary. With a warm welcome, you can discover the personal side of Bayshore and explore the numerous ministry opportunities to get involved in or just share some time with our members and ministers.

What does Bayshore have for my family?

Our family lovingly welcomes your family to church this weekend. We have opportunities for each member of your household to enjoy worship. Bayshore is blessed with a wide array of family ministries - from babies to young adults to grandparents. As you look at the links on our web site, we hope you'll have a personal and friendly first look at Bayshore. Of course, the best way to find out all that's here for you and your family is to personally visit us.

We know that, as a parent, you need for your children to be in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We've invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You'll see that in the buildings the children and students meet in and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids. See more on our Children's Ministries.

Bayshore's Worship Services

The worship of God is central to the life of our congregation. Through worship, we seek to celebrate the good news of God's love, shown to us through Jesus Christ. We are a congregation given to the hope of renewal in each life through prayer, praise, service and dedication to following the leadership of Christ in our lives.

We understand that there are different ways to worship our amazing God. Some are moved by a more flowing contemporary service with both powerful praise and intimate worship, while others feel comfort in the quiet reverence of a more traditional service. We honor and celebrate both forms of worship here at Bayshore. Childcare is available during both services and Bible study.

9:00 am - Traditions

Traditions is a service that seeks to worship God through time-honored, traditional ways of worship practiced by the church through the ages. It includes the Chancel Choir, organ and piano, celebrating Bayshore's rich heritage of hymns, anthems and songs. The service includes litanies, prayers, worship through music, engaging sermons in a more formal environment than found in our Encounter service.

10:00 am - Bible study

Bible study and topical classes for all ages and areas of interest.

11:00 am - Encounter

At Encounter, we strive to worship our amazing God with passion, in spirit and in truth. We hear teaching that, if we let it, will change our lives forever. We are challenged to serve others for Jesus, to put others ahead of ourselves. We want to be known as a people who want to bless God as much as he has blessed us, and love people as Christ has loved us...without condition. A funny thing happens when you take time to shift your focus from yourself, and begin to worship God, to praise him, to magnify him; He shows up, and when God shows up, lives change.

We believe that worship is not a spectator sport, but an interactive conversation between us and our maker. We hope you will join us at Encounter and engage in worship, then watch what God does.

How does Bayshore support military families?

The Bayshore Military Support Group provides fellowship, information and Christian support to active duty and retired military and their families. Military families are supported through an inter-generational network of care and community. The proximity of Bayshore Baptist to MacDill Air Force Base provides unique opportunities for outreach to military members and their families, offering them a church home for the duration of their assignment to the Tampa Bay Area and, often, in retirement.

For more information on the Military Support Group, contact Gary McCall, Minister of Education, GMcCall@bayshorebaptistchurch.com
