I'm a native Floridian, born and raised in Coral Gables, who graduated from
Rollins College in Winter Park with a B.A. in Communications and English. Initially
an Associate Producer for WMFE-TV in Orlando producing public affairs television programming, I transitioned to technology, training and management. In my 20 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, I taught Presentation Skills, Effective Writing and Time Management and supported our consultants computer and technology needs. My focus was process reengineering, training, asset management, finance and publishing.
When it became apparent my son, Jonathan, was severely affected by Autism, I stepped aside from my corporate career to focus on the needs of my family researching and applying home therapies for Jonathan.
Later, I felt called to apply my business experience in the non-profit arena. Before joining the Bayshore team in July 2008, I worked on a curriculum project for Cambridge Christian School and served another local church managing their office and publications. I now find joy serving God in interesting ways at Bayshore communicating our vision through our web site, bulletins and newsletters.
I have been married to Guy, a marketing executive at Tech Data Corporation, for almost 23 years. We are proud parents of 12 year old twins, Jonathan and Taylor. Jonathan is in an Autistic Spectrum class at Caminiti Exceptional Center. Profoundly affected by Autism, Jonathan speaks very few words but has a joyful spirit and loves to be tickled and sing bible songs. Daughter, Taylor, is approaching 7th grade at Cambridge Christian School. A brown belt in karate, Taylor plays the oboe, is passionate about reading, has a gift for drawing, loves cats and delights us with her acute sense of humor. She thinks the Penguins of Madascar are way cool and believes she has much in common with Skipper.
