Frequently Asked Questions
Are your preschool worker’s trained and screened?
Yes, we hold training sessions every year and all volunteers complete a national background check.
Are the toys in the classrooms age-appropriate?
Yes, the classrooms that we use on Sunday mornings are designed for a licensed child care facility. Toys are disinfected after use.
What about check-in and pick up procedures?
Check in is required at our kiosk during our renovation. A numbered check-in sticker will be given to the child and adult who brings the child to our preschool area. An adult must possess this matching sticker to pick up a child.
What if my baby/child needs me?
We will contact you by cell phone number you provide at check-in or we can utilize our pager system. Our preschool greeter will locate you after 10 minutes should we not be able to soothe your child. If we call you, that is your signal to come to the preschool reception desk.
I’m concerned about food allergies, what can I expect my baby/child to be offered?
When initially signing in your baby/child, you will have the opportunity to make us aware of any allergies. Otherwise, the general rule is infants will only be given food or drink provided by the parent, 1's - 3's will be offered apple juice and Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers. Graham crackers are sometimes provided as a substitute.
Are there specific activities that my child will participate in on Sunday mornings?
Yes, we are using the Lifeway curriculum for 1 - 3-year-old's which introduce basic Christian principles in a fun, age-appropriate environment.
When is it best to keep my child at home?
If your child has the following symptoms:
- Fever over 99 in the past 24 hours
- Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
- Common-cold symptoms such as thick colored mucus, coughing, congestion
