The recommendation of the Financial Board to employ Generis Partners was approved unanimously in the Business Meeting held on Wednesday, September 19, at 6:15 pm, in the Sanctuary.

We approved the following:

The Financial Board recommends that we employ Generis Partners LLC to provide consultation services for a capital fund-raising program for the renovation of our present education building and the construction of a multi-purpose building as already proposed and approved in the Master Plan.

An amendment was added: The agreement with Generis Partners LLC is limited to the three year period that begins after the five Campaign Sundays that conclude in March 2008.

Important supplementary informaiton:

1. We are requestiong that Mr. Ruben Swint be our senior consultant. (Ruben Swint has said that he will be our consultant and that this has been agreed to by Generis.)

2. The contract will be reviewed by Tim Hunt, Church Lawyer, and Laura Strange, Administrator.

3. We will requst Mr. Swint to provide a timeline of the program and his services. This information will be distributed initiallyto the Financial Board for their review. (This information was distributed in the Business Meeting and is available in the church office.)

4. Cost is a $65,000 set fee which comes from money raised. We have already paid $6,500 for a preliminary study which has been completed. See the summary of Mr. Swint's report by clicking here.

We celebrate this step forward. We express our appreciation to the Financial Board and the Building & Renovation Committee for their work. We will now begin planning for the Campaign. A campaign team will be formed in the next few months. The team will share information about the building renovation and its impact on our future.
