| Most of your ministerial staff and others participated in CPR and AED training this past Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Training was one of the requirements for having an AED device. AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator. The AED assists someone when they have a heart attack and are non-responsive. They are becoming more prevalent in public buildings.
Our AED will be located in a case on the wall outside the south sanctuary exit where the preschool hallway and office hallway intersect. We do not have the case yet. The AED is presently in the cabinet outside the Minister of Education's office. A red AED sign is on top of the cabinet. This could be very important to know if the AED device were needed in any part of our facilities. |
