The Campaign is not over. It enters another phase. We will continue to receive commitment cards and on April 6, the First Fruits Offering will be taken. On that day, we are asking everyone to give as large a part of their commitment as possible.  We also begin the process of deciding what to build and the financial plan that must be in place as well.    

    Prayerful and careful consideration is being given to the amount committed in pledges and the best way to phase the building needs based on the approved Master Plan. Staff and committees work together to bring a recommendation to the church. The church will have the opportunity to discuss and then approve any recommendations before implementation.

    The Building & Renovation Committee has the responsibility to recommend what part of the Master Plan should be completed. They work in conjunction with the Financial Board who has responsibility for a financial plan that considers the funds available both in pledges and what could be borrowed. The two groups work toward a joint recommendation to the church approved by the Deacons and with staff input. We have some urgency because of the need to complete renovation in the weekday preschool area over the summer of 2008. Renovation of the preschool space needs to begin on Monday, June 2, 2008.

Commitment cards totaled, Monday, March 17

Meeting with the Architect, Tuesday, March 18, 8:00 am

Building & Renovation, Tuesday, March 18, 7:00 pm, Determine at least two options for scope of project

Financial Board and Building & Renovation, Thursday, March 27, 6:30 pm. Look at funds available and consider scope of project to recommend.

Report to the church during worship services on Sunday, March 30

Deacons Meeting, Monday, March 31, 7:00 pm, Consider joint recommendation of Financial Board and Building & Renovation.
