Pastor Search Survey Results

Several weeks ago you were invited to take part in a church-wide survey. Thank you for your participation. The results are in, and we wanted to share them with the congregation.

We have had several comments on the survey and its purpose.  The survey must be evaluated in the context of a similar (but lengthier) survey conducted six years ago by the previous Pastor Search Committee.  Our purpose was to compare the answers provided currently with those given six years ago to determine if the congregation’s positions on certain key elements of the pastor’s role, and other matters, had changed.  This survey therefore provides a snapshot of the opinions of the church family at two distinct points in time. It is simply one tool that the committee is using to approach this vital and humbling task. While Bayshore retains many members, over the course of six years there are lots of new people, and the entire staff has changed.  Interestingly, despite these changes, the answers on the current survey paint a very similar picture of our church’s sentiments compared to those of six years ago.  This is important information for your committee.  Please continue to pray for us as we diligently seek God’s choice for Bayshore's next Senior Pastor.
