Encounter....it's a great word. It holds in its annuciation a feeling of expectation, and an idea of a personal, powerful meeting with someone. We call our contemporary service here at Bayshore Encounter, because we want people to come into worship with an expectation that they are going to meet the God of the Universe here, and that he is going to meet them...right where they are. At Encounter, you will be welcomed with open arms by people just like you... people with real life stories of how God helped them overcome huge challenges. You will meet people from every walk of life, at very different points in their personal relationship with Christ. You will have a chance to participate in powerful, intentional praise and intimate worship through music and prayer.

At Encounter, we strive to worship our amazing God with passion, in spirit and in truth. We hear teaching that, if we let it, will change our lives forever. We are challenged to serve others for Jesus, to put others ahead of ourselves. We want to be known as a people who want to bless God as much as he has blessed us, and love people as Christ has loved us...without condition. A funny thing happens when you take time to shift your focus from yourself, and begin to worship God, to praise him, to magnify him; He shows up, and when God shows up, lives change.
