We think of ourselves as a family at Bayshore. This means that we take seriously our duties to one another. We did not choose our brothers and sisters in Christ, after all: we all were begotten by God’s transforming love!
So we seek — together — to raise our children to realize their need for God’s forgiveness and to dedicate their lives to following in Jesus’ footsteps.
- We help our teenagers to navigate the difficult passages of adolescence.
- We disciple singles and families to deepen their understanding of faith and their commitment to be Christ’s disciples.
- We study Scripture and do ministry together, deliberately rubbing shoulders with brothers and sisters who do not share our every viewpoint, because we know that when we do so we mature in ways that we never would in hermetically sealed environments of like-minded acquaintances.
We believe in intensive care of our family, from our babies to our great-grandparents, and in wide-open outreach to all outside our doors in hopes that they too may become family members, if not here at Bayshore, then somewhere. |
