I’m originally from Halifax, Pennsylvania, a small town along the Susquehanna River in central Pennsylvania – home to many Pennsylvania Dutch (including me)!    However, once I met Tanker, the BEST husband, I’ve called many places home over the years.  We have traveled throughout the US and beyond, as he served in the Air Force for over 29 years.  We have two great teenagers, Quay and Claire, who get most of our time and attention these days.

The Snyder family joined Bayshore Baptist in 2004 when Tanker was assigned to MacDill AFB.  After retiring from the military in Hawaii in 2007, we knew that we wanted to call Tampa home.  One of the most important reasons to return to Tampa was our ties to Bayshore Baptist. 

WHY  MINISTRY?  Serving and helping others is my passion, especially when I’m doing it for Jesus.  I’ve wanted to serve in this capacity for some time now and I can’t think of anything else I rather be doing.  God is so good to have placed me in Women’s Ministry!

THE CHURCH I SEE:  Bayshore is working really hard at making church attractive to the next generation, while still meeting the needs and caring for our senior members.  I’m honored to be a part of these exciting times. 

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BAYSHORE?    No question… the people.  Bayshore has this unique quality of making you feel like your fellow parishioners are your immediate family.  We’ve traveled all over and have never felt such a sense of family nor have we experienced the level of fellowship and comradery that we are blessed with here at Bayshore Baptist.

My childhood nickname was Moose

I’m definitely a morning person – I LOVE quiet mornings (all by myself with God) before the sun comes up

I’m married to Tanker who has a brother nicknamed Trooper and a sister, Jeep

I ran a marathon in Hawaii
