RICH House
RICH House is an after-school program for children in Sulphur Springs, a low-income area in northeast Tampa. It began when the police personnel in the area renovated an old house to make a safe haven for children. Out of that have come several programs that Bayshore is affiliated with. A Tampa police summer camp has officers digging into their own pockets to help not only the kids, but their families.
Volunteer Opportunities Every year RICH House invites children to a Christmas party and distributes gifts. In November/December, information will be available at Bayshore regarding the types, sizes, price ranges of gifts. They should be brought to the church unwrapped. In conjunction with this, volunteers are needed to attend the Christmas party and help distribute the gifts. Similar events are organized at other holidays, such as Easter and Mother's Day. Contact Cyndy Miller for more information on these and how to become involved with RICH House. Donations Items always needed are: Monetary donations: Cash contributions are always welcome. Make the check payable to Bayshore Baptist Church with a notation on the Memo line: RICH House.
